| So I haven't been on here in a while, but here's what's up: BBD2 with James Snyder. Quote above provided by him. Baseball started last week and we have a game on Saturday. My recital hearing is Tuesday. If I pass, recital scheduled for April 2nd. Come hear Rhapsody in Blue! Church is awesome because God is good. Grad school is a possibility at UK And that is kindof it. Broadly speaking.
Salute of the day: goes to Andrew Brown and Andrew Bernardez. Because ethnicity is a beautiful thing.
| So every Christmas morning my family has this tradition of eating these sweet rolls that are a little bigger than the size of your hand (fingers included) with a dollop of jelly sitting in the middle like a little volcano of goodness. Place some creme cheese on the top and you know you're looking at a tasty meal. Well, most people in the family eat one and munch on some other things for breakfast. A few people who really enjoy the meal will go for seconds (aka, my father and brother). And then there's me. I have a running tally going on to see how many I can eat each year and I have to beat myself. Soooo, after 2 plates of 3 rolls, I finished off 2 more solo rolls. 7 was the record last year. This year, with the addition of the lemon sweet roll to finish me off, I accomplished 8. I sit typing this from a rocking chair that is not rocking. For low, I am still very full at 2pm. Please do enjoy your personal holiday traditions and be warm and very well fed! | | |
| So we started a student ministries thing at my church called eXperience. So far, we haven't had anyone come who was a student that doesn't already go to the church. Yes, we want to make it an outreach, but no, it isn't about numbers. We haven't had more than 30 people show up so far, and though that gets initially frustrating for me, I then take a step back and realize that that's not what the goal is. The goal is to build a community of seekers who will come together once a week to experience God with each other. And when I let that thought take control, my worship becomes much more authentic. This past week I got up to play a couple songs at the end of the service and it morphed itself into a prayer time that lasted who knows how long with multiple songs, both spontaneous and planned. It was great.
And now I must go.
Snyder quote of the day: "I wonder where these Swedish Fish are really from... did you ever think of that? It's like the Greek chicken down in the cafeteria. Really?!"
Salute of the day: goes to Marissa Rinehart in her delicate state.

| Tonight's knock, knock joke is brought to you by some little girl in Colorado who got a hold of Rob's cell phone while I was in the midst of talking to him.
"Knock, knock" who's there? "orange" orange who? "knock, knock" who's there? "orange" orange who? "oh, knock, knock" who's there? "banana" banana who? which after a few more repetitions then preceded back into the orange you glad i didn't say banana?
Snyder quote of the day: "I'm not a bird-poop-a-logian."
